stranded

I won't make it to the opening night of the Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival which is barely four hours away. I am writing this entry from the seventh floor of a building overlooking the Bajada district of Davao City while sipping durian flavored coffee.

I will fly to Manila toward the middle part of the Festival and stay in Manila until the awards night. A Step for My Dream director Monalyn Labado will attend tonight's ceremonies. Sheron Dayoc can't make it as he is still in Singapore.

And this news just got in. Mindanawon playwright Arnel Mardoquio's experimental film, Hunghong sa Yuta, will have its special screening at Cinemalaya, too.
